What is Hepcvir L (Ledipasvir and Sofosbuvir)?

Hepcvir L 90Mg/400Mg Tablet helps in the treatment of chronic hepatitis C (HCV). This drug is used in a combination with another drug, to prevent the spread of HCV throughout the body.
Patients who have liver issues, or kidney problems and are undergoing dialysis, are not advised the use of Hepcvir L 90Mg/400Mg Tablet. Also inform your doctor about any other health issues you are suffering from and if you are taking any medicines to treat them.
Hepcvir L 90Mg/400Mg Tablet is meant to be taken orally, either with food or without. Antacids containing magnesium or aluminum should not be consumed for a few hours after taking the drug. The drug should be taken regularly, preferably at a particular time each day. Try not to miss any doses.

Hepcvir L Work

Hepcvir L Tablet is a combination of two antiviral medicines: Ledipasvir and Sofosbuvir. They work by lowering the amount of hepatitis C virus in the body and removing the virus from the blood over a period of time.

Uses of Hepcvir L

Ledipasvir and sofosbuvir is used for treating chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in certain patients. Ledipasvir and sofosbuvir is a combination of 2 hepatitis C virus (HCV) antiviral agents.
It reduces the amount of HCV in the body by preventing the spread of the HCV within the body. Ledipasvir-sofosbuvir is a preferred regimen for initial treatment and retreatment of patients with genotypes 1, 4, 5, or 6 chronic hepatitis C infection.

Warning And Precaution of Hepcvir L tablet

You should not Use Hepcvir L Tablet if you:
  • are allergic to ledipasvir or sofosbuvir or any ingredients in Hepcvir L
  • are pregnant or are breastfeeding
  • have kidney disease
  • have liver disease other than hepatitis C
  • are taking either ledipasvir or sofosbuvir separately
are taking medicines that interact with Hepcvir L, including the antiarrhythmic amiodarone, acid reducing drugs for reflux like antacids, cimetidine and omeprazole, digoxin for heart failure, anticonvulsants like carbamazepine and phenytoin, the antibacterial rifampicin, some antivirals for HIV like tenofovir, St. John’s wort, the statin Rosuvastatin for high cholesterol.

Side Effect

In addition to its intended effect, Hepcvir L 90Mg/400Mg Tab may cause some unwanted effects too. In such cases, you must seek medical attention immediately. This is not an exhaustive list of side effects. Please inform your doctor if you experience any adverse reaction to the medication.
  •  Fatigue
  •  Nausea
  •  Headache
  •  Insomnia (difficulty in sleeping)
  •  Anemia.
