Description

Hepcvir 400 mg Tablet is an antiviral medicine used in the treatment of chronic hepatitis C infection. It is also used in patients with liver cancer and hepatitis C infection who are planning to have a liver transplantation. This medicine minimizes the chance of recurrence of the infection after the transplantation. Hepcvir 400 mg Tablet is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of hepatitis B infection.

Hepcvir Tablet Uses

Hepcvir 400 mg Tablet Use for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:
  • Hepatitis c
  • Liver cancer
  • Hepatic cancer
  • Hiv
  • Hepcvir Tablet may also be used for purposes not listed here.

Warning of Hepcvir 400mg tablet

Any prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, herbal treatments or nutritional supplements you tare taking should be discussed with your doctor. St John's Wort, along with some other medicines, may have a negative interaction with Hepcvir (Sofosbuvir).
Hepcvir 400 mg (Sofosbuvir) should not be taken alone. It should be taken as part of an overall treatment plan usually also containing ribavirin and pegylated interferon. Your doctor will advise you further before beginning treatment with Sofosbuvir.
Do not take Sofosbuvir if you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant. Sofosbuvir can result in birth defects, damage to the fetus, or early termination of pregnancy. It is recommended to use mulitple forms of contraception to prevent pregnancy while taking this medication and for 6 months after treatment ends, as it is vital you do not become pregnant while you or your partner are taking sufosbuvir.
Sofosbuvir can cause sever diarrhea in some cases. In you experience this, be sure to maintain your fluid intake to sufficient levels to prevent dehydration.

The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur from all constituting ingredients of Hepcvir Tablet. This is not a comprehensive list. These side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects may be rare but serious. Consult your doctor if you observe any of the following side-effects, especially if they do not go away.
  • Aching muscles
  • Unusual tiredness or weakness
  • Chills
  • Ulcers
  • Sores
  • Nausea
  • Pale skin
  • Lower back or side pain
  • Trouble sleeping
  • Diarrhea

Storage of Hepcvir Tablet

Store Hepcvir 400 mg Tablet at room temperature, away from heat and direct light. Do not freeze medicines unless required by package insert. Keep medicines away from children and pets.
