Description
Hepcinat 400 mg Tablet is an antiviral medicine used in the treatment of chronic hepatitis C infection. It is also used in patients with liver cancer and hepatitis C infection who are planning to have a liver transplantation. This medicine minimizes the chance of recurrence of the infection after the transplantation. Hepcinat 400 mg Tablet is not recommended for use in patients with a known history of hepatitis B infection.
Dosage
Missed DoseIf a dose of Hepcinat 400 mg is missed, take the dose as soon as you remember it. If it almost time for the next dose, then skip the missed dose. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one.
Overdose
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact the doctor in case of an overdose.

General warnings
Use with amiodarone - This medicine should be used with extreme caution in combination with amiodarone due to the increased risk of life-threatening cardiac complications including fatal cardiac arrest. This risk is especially higher in the first 48 hours of starting treatment with both these medicines. Coadministration of these medicines should be done only under close medical supervision with provisions to continuously monitor all vital signs of the patient. Replacement with a suitable alternative may be done based on the clinical condition of the patient.
